now it would be a crime if i didn't report on this particular runway show - the rebirth of versus versace. known as a big diffusion label to the king: gianni versace, the versus label was iconic throughout the 80s & 90s, inspired heavily by abstract art: bold colours, bold patterns, heavy hardware - making a jacket, or a pair of well-cut trousers look & feel like you were wearing art - keeping it true to gianni versace.

around 48 hours ago, donatella versace not only launched the collection - it was accompanied by a giant launch party with entertainment from the hot-right-now angel haze & grimes. check out the incredible pieces right now - super reminscent of the 90s & so relevant right now, since the revival of 90s fashion has returned - these are my favourite looks from the lookbook below but you can also check the rest of the lookbook here.

i don't really do many outfit posts on this blog (as much as i'd like to) as i find they need a bit of time & a spot of good weather to shoot in - however today i found that perfect day. 

 

anyone that knows me knows i'm absolutely bat crazy for vintage designer pieces, in particular, moschino & versace. i love the 80s & 90s creativity & design aesthetic along with the bold choices that these two fashion houses in particular, made. 

being able to find rare, beautiful pieces in excellent condition & give them a new life, decades later, is something that will always give me a warm, fuzzy feeling - like it did today when i threw on my vintage moschino bomber jacket.

the other week i was invited to the g-shock x casio 30th anniversary party which was held at melbourne's prince of wales. it was a sweet party, loads of free food & drink to keep the punters happy alongside some great performances by dj krush, bliss n' eso & dj mafia. big ups to my buddy amber for sorting my mess of mop out with some super-fast braiding - perfect for the dancing & fun that was had throughout the night!

i remember a few years back when i was in my all-black phase, literally wearing black from head-to-toe in a variety of textures & i remember one of my favourite go-to online stores for not only purchasing product but for some serious all-black inspiration was oaknyc. now that my fashion taste isn't limited to just all-black & is in fact, quite eclectic, i had forgotten about the glorious website & the edgy leather pieces that i lusted over for months on end - until now.

i took a visit & discovered a plethora of oak-designed leather pieces, in particular some of the metallic leathers & now, my love has been rekindled. if you haven't heard of the new york fashion house, then i suggest you head on over & check it out.

my favourite asos glasses are about to run their course (as much as i don't want them to) but now it has dawned upon me that i need new sunglasses for those glary autumn afternoons. this pair by westward leaning - with a beautiful iridescent lense, reminiscent of a perfect sunset is perfect FOR watching a perfect sunset.
