just a few shots snapped at my cosy apartment in conjunction with the new balance 'walk your own path' NB574 campaign - which coincidentally enough is linked with the party i am djing at, this saturday night at NO VACANCY, located in the QV building in melbourne's CBD. i'll be spinning tunes from 6:30-8:30pm, with a special performance in between by another fellow NB feature - chela. hosted by none other than the legends at acclaim magazine, the party is free & if you want to get down there you need to RSVP // try & get there early!

for those fashion lovers out there, it seems hard to keep up with what's on trend, where to find it - only to discover that your coveted item is thousands of dollars & impossible to find. then minimart comes along & saves the day. minimart founders, stacey & lee - both from melbourne, figured there was a gap in the market & that helping those fashionistas get that trend piece for a fraction of the price was key to creating a successful online venture.

minimart creative sources designer inspired pieces & quirky vintage finds to sell directly to their facebook page fans, so purchasing & browsing is all at the hub of one of the biggest social media platforms around. leather cut-out buckle boots that scream balenciaga (but don't scream "I CAN'T AFFORD THESE") alongside some cute basics with a twist. so many new items are uploaded on the regular for sale & at the moment the girls have a competition to win a $250 minimart wardrobe!

ps. big ups to my super-hot buddy lucy & her sister olivia for being the models (stars!) of minimart's online store. you guys look awesome!

 a couple of months back i decided to muck around one weekend & do a styling / makeup collaboration with one of my good friends, danielle alba. already an experienced mac cosmetic consultant / artist, we teamed up to create a few different looks with mac cosmetics in conjunction with the outfits i had put together.

this is a first styling effort from me - i style myself (as i did here) but i plan to continue more styling collaborations & shoots (& next time use an ACTUAL model instead, as i'm definitely not cut out for the modelling job, that's for sure!) 

there's definitely a lot i can improve on, just looking at these photos a couple of months on, but it's always great to start somewhere & build on experience from that.

keep an eye out for more projects later this year! (i want to do heaps!)

in my opinion, having the right bag is just as important as having the right pair of shoes. when you want to dress up a somewhat simple outfit, accessories are a must. so when i see an abundance of classic leather black & tan bags, i feel a little uninspired (as much as we ALL need a black leather bag.)

however, this is all about to change. one half (of the uber-cool melbourne label, discount) cami james, has released her own line of handbags / travel luggage - under the name CAMI XXX - & in true cami / discount style, we are graced with bold colours, heavy detailing, beautiful textured fabrics - bags loaded with an overall wow factor.

CL: BADDEST FEMALE

absolutely obsessed with this korean rapper, CL (who is also a part of popular korean group, 2NE1) after discovering this song on tv - i flicked over to  SBS pop asia earlier tonight & saw this video. not only was i impressed by how dope the beats were, i was blown away by the OTT styling (the abundance of jeremy scott pieces) & the overall quality of the video. the asian music scene is HUGE & i absolutely love how much effort they put into their music videos. definitely a step ahead of the game.
